About Our School

Broadway North is the premiere dance studio in the Lakes Region. We offer our students two yearly performances, Christmas and Spring, as well as a competition dance team and other exciting opportunities throughout the year. We are now in our 23rd season and located in our beautiful 6,400 square foot air-conditioned facility. We offer quality instruction in dance and fitness for all ages, 2½ to Adult.

Broadway North opened in the fall of 1993, and was located in the Major Brands Plaza for 10 years. In 2003, the studio moved to their former Hi-Fi furniture building where they now enjoy three state of the art studios. This 6,400 square foot studio is air conditioned and features a spacious waiting area and a dance apparel and supply store. 

Broadway North offers quality instruction in dance and fitness for all ages from 1 1/2 years old to adults. Here are some of the classes you can take at Broadway North; tap, jazz, ballet, enchanted ballet, hip-hop, family hip-hop, musical theater, contemporary, lyrical, modern, pointe, ACRO, and adult fitness bootcamp and dance classes.

Dancers from Broadway North have been recognized in NH, as well as nationally for their competitive performances. Students from the studio danced in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Orange Bowl halftime show in Miami, Florida, Times Square, NYC and the Disney World Magical Stages and parades. The Broadway North Competition Dancers have traveled to various states for nationals. The competition troupe has won numerous awards and won overall high scores this past season!

Christy Dunn became the owner of Broadway North in August of 2013! Dancing since the age of 3, Christy's dreams of becoming a studio owner became a reality. She is trained in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, country line dancing and ZUMBA. Christy was a member of the UNH Dance Team as well as the Manchester Wolves Dance Team. Christy is a graduate of University of NH, class of 2005. She represented NH at the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas in April of 2009. Christy has traveled with her students to numerous competitions, master classes and special events such as the Orange Bowl, dancing in New York  and at Disney in Florida. 

Dance is not for everyone. While we love to see our students perform and do their best, not everyone is destined for Broadway. Our goal is to introduce our students to the art of dance and try to give them a positive learning experience from the classroom to the stage. Discipline, being able to perform in front of an audience, and the confidence they will gain, are tools that will be useful throughout their lives...
